Sometimes the truth is hard to find, even in those closest to us. With his new single titled ‘tell me it’s true’, Ottawa native Maurice Moore delivers a reflective piece about coming to terms if his significant other loves him.
The R&B ballad is full of sweet melodies, and Maurice’s voice is as smooth as butter. As he slides across the Clayton Connell co-produced production, he pours out his insecurities about being scarred from his past lovers. This song is Maurice at his most vulnerable. Although the song can be very emotional at times, there is a very serene and hopeful vibe that you can catch near the end of the song. It’s almost as if after all of his questioning, he finally realized that the girl is for him. With this being my first time hearing of Maurice, I can say that I am a huge fan of him. He offers an innovative touch to R&B music, and we are very excited to see what the rest of the year has in store.
Lyrics That Stick:
“Back then there was no woman that could tame me
I could tell you love me that really changed me
Choices I made in my past you'd start to hate me”
