If you were able to teleport 1984 Morrisey (think ‘This Night Has Opened My Eyes’) into 2022, and equip him with all of the sonic intricacies that compose everyone from Pink Pantheress to Red Hot Chilli Peppers, you’d be somewhere close to Great White North product ‘ThxSoMch’. With his eclectic style and keen ear for melodies and sonics, the emerging artist has a raw sound that is mixed with a human touch and unadulterated soul. He’s vibrant, and he has an edge that will have you captivated with every listen. The crazy thing is that he makes it almost look effortless. Now, he debuts on our pages with his 6th offering of the year “SPIT IN MY FACE!”.
The single is the follow up to his dreamy-record “Imperfect Girl”, and it seems to have everyone falling in love with his versatility and innovative nature. “SPIT IN MY FACE!” is led by a dark guitar riff and followed with the moody feel of the “grunge” movement. Carried by the dark aura of his production, ThxSoMch rides the beat with raw lyricism that brings me back to the nostalgic feel of teenage angst.
