It is very rare that I find an artist that captivates me with their music and personal story. However, when I do, that artist typically becomes a staple in my life. This week, I was lucky to come across rising popstar danny G, and he may be my new guilty pleasure. What makes him so relatable is that he has a similar background to me. We both played college soccer, and we have an incredible love for music. Now, he debuts on our pages with his latest anthem “shameless”, and it is an absolute smash.
With the song’s bright production and smooth sonics, danny g shines vocally. His cadences are infectious, and he has a hook that will make you want to ride top down on PCH. Lyrically, the song is spaced well, and it fits well with the overall pace of the song. In my opinion, the song perfectly embodies the feeling of not knowing exactly where you’re going in life, but enjoying the journey every step of the way. Danny confronts the harsh truth that we only have one life to live, and he offers a universal message about seizing the moment and never looking back. With his positive vibes and vibrant melodies, the rising artist gets his message across in fine fashion.
