Hailing from the Carolina’s, Young Pharro a.k.a “The Prince of the 4” has been an artist that has recently been gaining traction with his eccentric style and captivating sound. With only a few songs under his belt, the emerging rapper has played a pivotal role in many artist’s careers behind the scenes. Now, it seems that he is ready to make his own breakthrough. After initially gaining our attention with his single “Probably”, Pharro returns with his latest hit “September”, and it may be his most complete single to date.

“September” explores a more raw and vulnerable side of Pharro we haven’t seen before. Known mostly for his bravado and swagger, he has been an artist that prides himself on lavish things and enjoys a colorful lifestyle. However, everyone has their own demons, and Pharro makes it clear that he’s dealing with his own. The record is led by smooth guitar riffs, lush melodies, and hard-hitting 808s that will make you want to run through a brick wall. In addition to the sonics, Pharro’s vocals and songwriting seem more mature compared to his earlier work. When it comes to the meaning of the song, this is what Pharro had to say:

“Heartbreak, Loss, Aggression, and Passion are four keywords I thought about when making the song. Being able to construct so many emotions into one. I made this song at my lowest, when I was going through some of my worst times. No matter how full the room was, I was always alone. No matter how warm, I was always cold.”

Overall, Pharro seems to be making waves and this is our first taste of his upcoming project set to release later this year. With that being said, stream the song below and vibe out.
