When it comes to crafting gritty records that are packed with emotion and passion, Witt Lowry has been a go-to for many listeners. With his new single ‘Put Me First’, Lowry recruits promising singer/songwriter, Josh Golden, to create a beautiful record about putting yourself first in a relationship.
The record starts with a lush melody from Josh Golden that perfectly transitions into the hard-hitting lyrics that Witt packs into his verse. Within his verses, Lowry discusses the need to end a relationship to focus on himself. Although this a painful topic to discuss, I feel like we have all been in a place where we have not been mentally ready for a relationship and needed to get our life together first. Overall, the chemistry between Witt and Golden is perfect and this has to be one of Witt’s most confessional and complete songs.
