After the release of an incredible EP to close out 2020, Gavin Haley is back at it again with the unforgettable tunes this week! ‘Pepper’ tells the story of a hot-tempered queen that Gavin can’t seem to get enough of!
The detail in the songwriting stood out to me as always in this song. I love how the first verse sets up the scene, describing how her friends like to gossip and how she’s older than he is. It’s little depictions like those that carry such a strong, personal characteristic and make a song all the more relatable!
I’d be remise not to mention how flat-out catchy the melodies and flows are on it, too. Gavin Haley just has this knack for getting stuck in your head from the moment you hit play! Check this one out ASAP.
