Mercer Has Us In Our Feelings With Her Introspective New Single “Strangers”

Hailing from San Francisco, CA, emerging singer/songwriter, Mercer, has been gaining traction with her honest and relatable sound. After initially getting my attention with her single “Fool”, I was drawn to her exceptional songwriting and her vocals were so pure. You can definitely see Amy Winehouse’s influence in her sound, and I believe that is why she will become a star. Now, she is debuting on our pages with her latest single “Strangers” which may be one of my favorite singles I have recently discovered.
The single is laced with lush melodies, captivating vocals, and introspective songwriting that will make you want to keep the song on repeat. Mercer has this innate ability to mesh intoxicating hooks with genuine storytelling, and I believe that is what sets her apart from her counterparts. In her words:
“Strangers came from a conversation reflecting on changing relationships. Lyrics kept writing themselves as people went around the room sharing their stories. Over the next few months the track was finished and ‘Strangers’ was born.”
