Lenny Burbank - “Chancellor”
By: Phil Deutsch, IG: @pbdeutsch

Lenny Burbank is back with his second single of 2020, the beat-switching “Chancellor.” The up-and-coming artist out of Los Angeles sought out the help of Mai and Steven Schaeffer to produce the soundscape that lies behind the journey Lenny takes us on with his lyrics. “Chancellor” is made up of two parts, the angsty, resonant introduction: Cancel-lor, and it’s mellow, reposed conclusion: Chain Slayer.
Listen to Lenny himself as he croons in detail about the trials and tribulations of navigating one’s way through this troubled world. 2020 is a year of upheaval for sure, and it’s a perfect time for Lenny Burbank to start making waves with his unique understanding of how to truly use his instrumentals to their most efficient effect. “Chancellor” is worth a listen for sure.
Lyrics That Stick:
“Nobody’s safe,
Asking for a trophy when you came in last place...
Why we focused on B when we haven’t captured A?
Why we thinkin so deeply but lookin’ one way?”
