Tom The Mail Man - Last Night

Raw emotions mixed with alt-rock instrumentation seem to bring out the best in Atlanta-born artist Tom The Mail Man. After releasing ‘Forever’ earlier this year, he is back with another offering from his project ‘Sometimes Sorry Isn’t Enough’ titled ‘Last Night’. The record is dark, but it’s the first time I believe I have seen Tom The Mail Man be this vulnerable. At times the lyrics are harsh and that’s from the pain of not letting go of the past. This is a single about the realization of past decisions and having to openly deal with them.
The Daniel Hartzog produced track is smooth and the alt-drums and punk guitar riffs will hook you from start to finish. Although it is easy to get lost in the instrumentation, this is one of the best vocal performances I have seen from Tom. At parts, we see the typical calm version of himself, and then we also have him belting emotions he has kept inside for some time. With this being the second release this year, Tom continues to build hype for his new project.
Lyrics That Stick
“Last night
I lost all the feeling inside my body, I woke up nauseous
Last night
You wouldn't stop calling, now tears are falling, it's not my problem”
