Kid Indigo - Scissors
By: Caleb Johnson IG: CJSleeves

‘Scissors’ is a song for the girl that doesn’t deserve one, as Kid Indigo himself states. Although he has a lot of beautifully written, wonderfully performed songs, when it comes to his best songs ever, ‘Scissors’ definitely has to make the cut (pun intended).
The song is slow, like every syllable and every strum on the guitar were planned and mulled over thousands of times before finally being recorded. His voice stands out strong over the simple guitar instrumental, singing as carefree as if he were just in the shower, and with just as little effort. Still, his voice soars and hits every note just right, bringing the sad love song together and making you feel bad for Indigo, and wondering who would ever break his heart.
Lyrics That Stick:
“You don’t deserve a love song
But I’mma write you one anyways”
