shy niko is a renowned producer & singer-songwriter based out of Chicago and his newest single “icy girl” will definitely leave you impressed. “icy girl” is a synth heavy pop track that reminds us that things will work out in the end if you keep yourself level headed and grounded. shy worked with Columbia Records in the past under a different moniker as he made electronic music back then. Now, he’s shifted to a more soft pop approach under the name “shy niko” releasing his debut single this year, following it up with 3 singles.
The song as a whole has got a very funky yet soft pop groove to it, feels like something I’d play in my car with my windows down. The production on this track works so well for the song as it compliments the vocal performance and songwriting perfectly. I feel anyone who appreciates dreamy melodic hooks and synth pop production would love this song.
