imHAPPY is an up and coming singer/songwriter duo and their debut single “How’s it feel ?” will definitely leave you impressed. Taylor Landress and Kendall Johnson are the artists behind “imHAPPY” and they make music that ranges from Hip-hop to Pop-Punk, citing Travis Barker, The Kid Laroi and MGK as their influences. In this song, Taylor is very candid about her relationship with her ex as she sings about how he never treated her right, while Kendall doesn’t shy away from being transparent either as he sings about being stuck in a toxic relationship. imHAPPY is brand new to the game and I could definitely see them paving their own way as a duo in this industry.
The production on the song sounds really fresh as it consists of a melodic guitar accompanied by trap drums that gives an infectious rhythm to the entire song. The blend between the songwriting and production on this song is so relatable and engaging. I feel anyone who appreciates honest songwriting with a refreshing approach to production would love this song.
