Bren Joy is a singer-songwriter based out of Nashville and his newest single “Friends” featuring Kiana Lede is something you definitely don’t wanna miss out on. Bren started writing music in the start of 2018, and released his first 3 singles the same year that started getting major traction on spotify. In this song, Bren sings about that moment in a romantic relationship when things start to fizzle out and although you feel like your friendship can be maintained, things begin to crumble bit by bit, while Kiana sings about moving on and going separate ways.
This track is produced by Noise Club and I think the production works perfectly for the song as it compliments the mood along with the songwriting. This song’s production consists of a mellow but groovy guitar melody along with some engaging trap drums. I personally love it when artists get candid in their songs, that paired with good songwriting and production makes the song a straight hit in my eyes. I think anyone who appreciates good Alt-RnB music would love this song.
