With the overflow of music that is submitted everyday, it gets hard to find music that truly moves us. However, 22-year-old hitmaker, love jai, hit the sweet spot with his new single “everyday im trying my best”, and it may be one of our favorite submissions of the week.
Although this is the first time he debuts on our pages, love jai has a sound that is raw and he has continued to progress his sound over the years. Hailing from New York but also claiming the Carolina’s as his home, jai has built a sound off of real emotions and situations that he has experienced in his life. There is something genuine about his sound, and he allows that to show within his heartfelt lyrics.
On his new single, he discusses heartbreak, depression, and the need to be a better version of himself. As he glides over the beat with his exceptional vocals and captivating lyrics, jai proves that he is truly ready to hit the mainstream. Although the single is one of his best, we are truly amazed at how far the young artist has come. The single truly shows his progression and how much he has developed as an artist.
“everyday im trying my best” is a strong record, and it proves to be a staple in his developing sound. With that being said, if this is jai’s new direction, we are all here for it. The smooth guitars and emo sound is definitely a plus to his brand, and we can’t wait to see what he comes out with next.
