6o - Dried Out

Royal Oak, MI native, 6o is back on our pages to bless us with his new single ‘Dried Out’. After listening to some of his hits like ‘Caution’ and ‘Til I Die’, the bar was set pretty high when I went to listen to his first release of 2021. However, 6o did not come to disappoint. The lyricism on ‘Dried Out’ seems more mature than a lot of his older records, and you can clearly see his developed ability to turn melodic vocal runs into well-crafted hits.
The Nyalate and Relik produced track compliments his vocals very well, and you can tell this is truly in 6o’s pocket. As he croons in and out on ‘Dried Out’, his ability to express his emotions through his lyrics is what makes this song stick. Although the sonics are on point, I don’t want to overlook the lyricism. The song speaks to me because I was in a depressed place 2 years ago where I was numb to everything happening. I had a rotation of artists I listened to, but it is incredible to see younger acts taking the torch and making it okay to not be okay. I feel like a lot of listeners will relate to his words and the energy behind them. With this being his first release of 2021, we are excited to see where 2021 takes this rising artist.
