MICO Shows His Range On Lead Single “did too much”

In a day where dropping a single and moving on to the next one seems like the norm, it’s refreshing to hear a good EP. My favorite EPs always are the ones that introduce a unique element or perspective, and allow you to get lost in as a listener. MICO is one artist who has recently delivered an EP that I think a lot of people are going to be calling their favorite this year.

The EP, did too much, is MICO’s first release of 2022 and the young R&B artist is coming out with a bang. He wastes no time on the intro with lead single “did too much”. The song is opened with melodic runs, and introspective lyrics that set the tone for the sonic-world MICO guides the listener through on the album.

With every song being under 3 minutes on the EP, I could see this project end up in a lot of people’s ‘most replayed songs’ list. MICO has a tone that reminds me of Brendon Urie from Panic! at the Disco, but paired with the moody R&B production, he has built a lane for himself that can take him very far.
