Chris Buxton - “Uma Thurman”

Washed out, 90s pop production mixed with sweet, melodic vocals prove to be a winning combination on Chris Buxton’s latest single, “Uma Thurman.” If I had to call this track one thing, it would be pure, unadulterated nostalgia.
This song takes me back to a time that I can’t actually remember, and Chris can’t either, but is somehow what we long for. Pilot Kid does some heavy lifting here to hold his own on production to complement Buxton’s strong vocal delivery, and he succeeds with flying colors. For fans of Black Mirror’s “San Junipero,” you’ll find something to like about “Uma Thurman.” Check this vibe out ASAP.
“You can be my Uma Thurman
You’re the apple of my eye
You just make it easy to love you
and miss you, but baby
you’re on my mind”
