twentylove - chase you

Songwriting has always been something I take seriously when listening to a new song. With that being said, I often search for songs that evoke emotions based on the delivery and approach of the lyrics that set the foundation of the record. With his new single titled ‘chase you’, Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter, twentylove, pulls our heartstrings with a single that’s about chasing a girl that is loved by everyone.
The main thing that stands out about twentylove’s songwriting is that it reminds me of early 2000s punk and indie records. His ability to make highly confessional and poetic music is why I can’t keep myself from listening to ‘chase you’. Although I would consider the song alt-rock, there are so many elements of other genres such as grunge and punk-rock that I see infused in this beautiful record. In addition, to the solid production, twentylove delivers sweet melodies and the hook will have you singing from start to finish. The hook on ‘chase you’ is arguably one of the best I have heard from a song as of recent. With that being said, we believe you should listen to this ASAP.
