Chase Paves & Lucca - Bed Time
By: Caleb Johnson IG: CJSleeves

Previous to hearing this song, I had never listened to Chase Paves nor LUCCA, but after hearing it I went back through their catalogues to see what else I was missing out on. When I say this song should define lo-fi, I’m not kidding.
The song is based around a sample of a woman singing, even though I’m not sure exactly where the sample is from. The verses in the song are hard-hitting and powerful, and after each there is a pause while a voicemail is played which sounds like it could be from their mothers. The song reminds me of Powfu’s recent song to go viral, ‘Deathbed’, because of the chilling sincerity that comes with the track. If you’re like me and haven’t yet heard of these 2 artists, I suggest you follow my lead and check them out now before they’re huge.
Lyrics That Stick:
“Frown to a smile
Quiet when it’s loud”
