I feel like nothing describes this new song from Alec King better than the fact that on SoundCloud he put that it featured Drake, even though he is nowhere to be found on the track. ‘Complex’ is all over the place, but in a very intentional and impressive way.
Alec King shows us in his new song that he’s really not too worried about what it is he’s saying in his songs. He tells us where his favorite place to shop is, shares some of his daily thoughts with us, and much more, and does it all with an impressive flow that draws me in as if he was telling his life story. It’s not an intense listen, but a very enjoyable one.
