Cam Sakkara is an artist that NEEDS to be heard. The emerging singer has been captivating listeners with a sound that blends elements of Alternative-R&B & Neo-Soul. Telling stories through her lyricism, she invites listeners behind the scenes into the imperfect everyday life of a 21st century Christ follower. Sakkara is authentic, and she debuts on our pages with her latest single “My Therapist's Couch”.

The single follows her single “Altar/Alter”, and it is her best release to date. With her refreshing vocals, she shines with introspective lyrics that address mental health issues and speak about the intersection of therapy and theology. For me, it is beautiful when I see artist evoke raw emotions with their lyricism. The highlight for me has to be the production. Sonically, it is a percussion driven beat that consists of a combination of software and live instruments. It contains honest lyrics and beautiful harmonies to help communicate the message I am trying to get across. The goal of this song is to continue the discussion on mental health in faith-based spaces in a way that is sonically experimental and lyrically authentic. Overall, this one of my favorite releases of the week. So, stream her new single below!
