Over the years, artists have created songs that pinpointed the need for a ride or die or a relationship like ‘Bonnie & Clyde’. Although the relationship between Bonnie & Clyde has become polarized through movies and songs, that has never stopped artists from creating their own takes of the infamous outlaws. With his new single titled ‘Bonnie & Clyde’, Hyattsville, Maryland-native, Memoria XI, gives a twisted introspective look into the lack of love with his significant other.
‘Bonnie & Clyde’ is an infectious springtime anthem, and its melodies will make you want to ride down PCH with the top down. With its guitar-driven instrumental and Memoria’s semi-distorted vocals, the song packs a punch that will make you have a different feeling when you think about the couple. Memoria is deep, and he wants his listeners to know that he thought he and this person could be like Bonnie & Clyde, but they ended up hurting him instead. With the song coming so close to Valentine’s day, this could definitely be the anthem to anyone who will be lonely on this special day. We believe you should give this a listen!
Lyrics That Stick:
“What you want is not what you need
And what you see is just make believe
This ain’t endless love, inhale, breathe
Let’s just enjoy our lives 'till our souls leave”
