BabyJake has proved that he could write hits numerous times, but this one is different. On ‘MadHappySad’, we really see all of those emotions rise to the surface. It’s more than just a hit (although it is one), it’s a look into BabyJake’s life.
Still, it’s not a slow Lewis Capaldi-type ballad. It’s upbeat, jazzy, and fun, just as most of BabyJake’s music is, it just has a lot of emotion that drives it. He writes about a girl who is constantly playing with him, and as frustrating as it is, they also have a lot of good times. I know I’ve been in a relationship like that before, and didn’t know how exactly to describe it until BabyJake did on this one. Whether you’ve been in that situation or not, I think you’ll really like this new one, so go check it out.
