I may be late to the party but emerging singer-songwriter, SOMOH, has recently become my guilty pleasure and I can’t get enough. Originally born in Ealing, London, the 20-year-old singer has continued to captivate listeners with a sound that will evoke raw emotions with her introspective lyrics and engaging sonics. Now, she debuts on our pages with her latest single “Anything”, and it brings back all of the nostalgia from the late 90s and early 2000s.

‘Anything’ is an emotionally driven record that combines elements of 90s indie-rock and bedroom pop to describe the scary but beautiful feeling of falling so deeply for a person. With her nostalgic songcraft and exceptional vocal performance, she floats over lush melodies and warm sonics as she brings her listeners in from start to finish. The record takes me back to my childhood because this is the type of music I listened to during my formative years in the early 2000s. Speaking about “Anything,” SOMOH whose real name is Sophia Mohan said “This song is about coming to terms with your love for someone & knowing that you’d do just about anything for them. It’s a scary but beautiful feeling to fall that deeply for a person.”

Overall, this is one of my favorite recent finds so stream the song below and vibe out!
