Ollie Apologizes For His Lack Of “Affection” On His Newest Release

Canadian artist, Ollie, has been giving out reasons why his name is one you should get familiar with for years. With those reasons typically coming in the form of beautifully written hip hop/pop records, his new single “Affection” is yet another one to add to the list.

“Wait, wait, only care about you

Sorry I’m just not the type to show affection”

Before even pressing play, Ollie is pictured on the cover in the form of a painting, which is a similar theme seen through his other releases, and it sets the tone for the introspective journey that he takes us on with “Affection”. The song comes as the lead single of his 2 song, same titled, EP. The mix between the folky guitar, and bouncy drums and melody with his self reflective lyrics tug the listeners heart in so many directions that you’re not sure whether to head bang or text your ex.

Since my first time hearing Ollie’s music, I’ve been confident that he would have a bright future in music and he’s only continually improved his craft. So if you’re still sleeping on Ollie, do yourself a favor and WAKE UP by streaming his new song “Affection”.
