Fiji Blue - Waves
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @barelytrev
A beautifully melancholic poem that was converted into a song by way of groovy production and angelic vocals. In other words, Fiji Blue dropped a new song! ‘Waves’ is a particularly ironic name for a song that seems to flow unlike anything else we’ve heard recently.
The short percussive intro leading into the unbelievably well-written lyrics is a heck of a way to start a song off. The best part? As the song progresses, it just keeps getting better and better. We love the hook and how both clever and catchy it is! Pouring their hearts out about a real-life, uber-relatable relationship experience, Fiji Blue never seems to fall short of connecting with us listeners.
Go give this one a listen and vibe out if you haven’t yet!

Justin Bieber & Chance the Rapper - Holy
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @barelytrev
‘Holy’ crap. For a collab we thought we might never seen again between two legends, Justin Bieber and Chance the Rapper, this one is serious… and exactly what we all needed right now to raise some spirits.
That soft-as-butter piano intro with Bieber’s silky vocals is nothing short of breathtaking. Progressing then into the hook and first verse, the beat picks up and evolves into a bouncy, Social Experiment-esque vibe. Remember ‘Sunday Candy’? Glorious.
As if this wasn’t already a certified bop, Chance the Rapper steps in to guide us through a verse that rivals ‘Ultralight Beam’ for one of his best verses. Go check this one out ASAP!
Lyrics That Stick:
“I hear a lot about sinners
Don't think that I'll be a saint
But I might go down to the river
'Cause the way that the sky opens up when we touch
Yeah, it's making me say”

Mosch - Lowkey
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @barelytrev
We would say this song is ‘Lowkey’ one of the most fire songs we’ve heard this year, but that’d be a lie. It’s highkey one of the most fire songs. New York native, Mosch, is paving the way for himself in a major way with this release.
Maybe the best part about this track is the genuine emotion in every inflection of Mosch’s cadence. Basically, we can tell he truly means what he’s saying. It’s not always easy to come across artists like this who have such a talent for songwriting and melody-innovation, while also being able to draw on such personal, real-life experiences.
As Mosch continues to make waves in the industry, this will be something that continues to set him apart! We’re excited to see where this goes. Give this one a listen ASAP!

Chris James - Close to the Fire
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @barelytrev
This one is so hot, we felt like we were a little too ‘Close to the Fire’ while listening! Okay, sorry for the lame jokes, but in all seriousness, Chris James is an all-around talent that keeps on impressing us release after release this year.
Just like his Spotify bio says, this is the epitome of Sunday-morning music. Heck, this is every day’s morning music. That hook is way too catchy to only be played once a week. There’s something special about the storytelling in the writing and James’ ability to connect with us listeners on a level that’s so relatable yet poetic in nature. It just makes us want to listen to it over and over!

TOKYO’S REVENGE - HELL BENT (with The Kid LAROI)
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @barelytrev
Two of hip-hop’s brightest talents today, TOKYO’S REVENGE and The Kid LAROI, teamed up on this one, and we couldn’t have expected anything less than a complete and utterly fire banger.
In spite of how big and full this track feels, it also succeeds in hitting us in our feels through vulnerable storytelling and spot-on melodies. Maybe it’s just the way these two artists are able to manipulate their voices to bring about such emotion in each line, but either way, it’s hard not to be fully invested in this music. This feels like the type of song that needs to be blasted at 3am on your drive home!
Major hats off to TOKYO’S REVENGE for bringing us this one when we needed it. Go give it a listen if you haven’t.

MEMORIA XI - Last Wish
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @barelytrev
Not to be dramatic or anything, but if we only had one day left to live, our ‘Last Wish’ would be to have this song on repeat all day. MEMORIA XI seems to be incapable of putting out bad music this year, and we’re loving the wave he’s been on.
Right from the beginning, you can feel the true emotion in his voice. With each beautifully written line comes a pain and feeling that can only come from a place of vulnerability. MEMORIA XI is a sure-fire to be very big very soon if he keeps coming this hard, this consistently.
If you haven’t hopped on the bandwagon yet, you better do it now while you still have time! Give this one a listen.

‘That Girl’ is the perfectly-mellow, insanely-detailed song we all needed right now. We can really tell this dude’s songwriting is top notch. Not to mention how creamy and full his vocals sound over the 60’s-sounding guitar strings. It truly is the perfect blend of sounds coming together as one to create a beautiful song. Vaboh - Ruin My Life
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @barelytrev
Sometimes, regardless of how toxic someone may be, you just don’t care about getting hurt in the end. Vaboh writes about this weirdly common situation we find ourselves in and, in effect, gives us all something to relate to!
Vaboh definitely is not new to being vulnerable and open in his songwriting. In fact, he’s talented enough to use that vulnerability to tell a story that feels uber personal to us listeners. It’s a skill that not many artists truly grasp, but Vaboh isn’t like other artists.
This song is well-composed, well-written, and well-delivered. To be honest, those melodies will be stuck in our heads for awhile! Go give it a listen if you haven’t yet.

As someone who’s been on an absolute tear so far in 2020, Mishaal is showing no signs of slowing down with this new release, ‘Peddle Bike.’ Beautifully arranged and effortlessly performed, it’s the perfect song to ride into fall to.
The way Mishaal’s vocals sit atop the instrumentation is silky smooth. They feel so wide and warm, and the tucked harmonies throughout create such a sense of fullness. What’s also impressive are his lyrics and storytelling ability, while maintaining a level of poetry with the metaphor in the hook.

By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
YNG Martyr came in so hot on this one, we need him to ‘Ease Of’ for a second. But seriously, this dude’s flow and vocal tone is unmatched throughout the entirety of this song!
That initial introduction to the hook is absolutely killer. The fullness of the vocals over that guitar progression feels soothing, yet dance-worthy at the same time. Even YNG Martyr’s more emotional cadence he then switches to on the verse hits so powerful and unique. The way each word blends together like a surfboard over a wave is majestic. While sitting around waiting for Frank Ocean to drop, we’re pretty certain we found the next best thing! That’s right… Maryland-native Ehmji is the genre-combining, melody-slinging, flow-riding artist to keep your eye on this year.
This track is truly the definition of bouncy. That instrumental had us bobbin’ and weavin’ right away, and the way Ehmji rides in and out of the pockets is undeniable. His voice melts over top of the beat just beautifully, while maintaining a certain crispy cadence to it.
Maybe we’re getting too deep into the figurative language, but either way, this dude is the real deal. Go give this one a listen if you haven’t yet!

Ollie - 60 Seconds
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
We’re glad this one is longer than ‘60 Seconds,’ because it’s an absolute hit. Ollie somehow continues to amaze us this year with these releases, and this song is no exception.
We’re still waiting for Russ to hop on the remix, but that’s another story. The hook is classically nostalgic and hits a certain way that’s hard to put into words. A perfect song for your late-night drives, put this one on the aux and all your friends will be asking for the name of it!
We’re excited to keep hearing more from this dude. It seems like the sky is truly the limit for him! Go listen right now.
