Abe Parker - Evil Genius
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
Abe Parker must be some sort of ‘Evil Genius,’ because we haven’t been able to get this song out of our heads all day! And if we’re honest, we probably won’t be able to for awhile to come. As the king of uber relatable and candid songwriting, Parker is one of those artists that never fails to connect with his listeners.
This song is the perfect example of get-up-and-dance music that you can ride out the rest of summer to! The groovy instrumentation complimented by the full, layered vocals creates such an energetic feeling. Not to mention how fun the hook is, perfect for singing at the top of your lungs in the car, shower, or any other preferred performance location. Go check it out if you haven’t yet!

Nirob Islam - i miss you
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
Be careful… this song might have you calling your ex, telling them you ‘miss’ them! Nirob Islam somehow created one of the smoothest songs we’ve heard this year, all while pushing the boundaries of vulnerability in his writing.
‘i miss you’ is the perfect example of emotional juxtaposition that’s rare to find in music. Raw, relatable lyrics tell a sad story, while the lighter mood of the guitar progression and bouncy percussion provide a happy, carefree feeling. Islam’s ability to walk the line between these two extremes is super impressive!
We have a feeling you’ll be seeing a lot of Nirob Islam in the near future. Go bump this one today!

Faime - All I Need
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @Musicbytrev
It’s 10:45pm on a Tuesday night and ‘All I Need’ right now is a cup of tea and this song playing on repeat. Faime is supplying all the feels in this one with his softer-than-a-blanket vocals and uber relatable songwriting.
The simplicity in the instrumentation is mesmerizing! Light strumming with wet, airy percussion and textures throughout create such a unique spacial tone, complimented by Faime’s undeniable voice. He set the scene so beautifully, it truly feels like we were transported into a different universe while listening! Go check it out and see for yourself.

Justin Jesso - Too Good To Lose
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
As we’re sitting at home on a Tuesday night, Justin Jesso has us feeling all the emotions and reminiscing on the past. This song is just ‘Too Good’ to not relate. Every melody, vocal influx, and layered harmony hits absolutely beautifully.
The only way to do this song justice as a listener right now would be to listen to it in a packed-out stadium, with lights flashing and Justin Jesso killing it on stage. Unfortunately for now, we’ll have to stick to our headphones. It truly is impressive how he manages to hit us right in the core throughout this track. We have a feeling it’ll be on repeat for awhile to come! Go check it out now if you haven’t.

Melo Makes Music - Manifesto (feat. Kota The Friend)
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
If you’re an artist struggling with branding yourself, or creating a personal image, Melo Makes Music might be someone to study. This dude’s consistency and ability to make himself stand out had been something we’ve took notice of over the years, and we have a feeling it’s just the beginning for him.
The original version of this track was already crazy, and now Melo went and got Kota The Friend to hop on it? Wraps. The variation of flow and melodies is so impressive throughout the song, and Kota’s verse provides such a cool change of pace and perspective. We think it’s only right that when you play this track, your volume should be all the way up!

MASN - Hold Me (feat. Mishaal)
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
In all honesty, it’s hard to ‘Hold’ it together while listening to this tear-jerker. MASN has never been one to shy away from vulnerability and emotion in his music, and we’re so grateful for artists like him to relate to when we’re going through it.
The mix on the snares over that guitar progression sets such a vibe right away, and MASN and Mishaal’s voices sit beautifully over top. The shakiness in vocal cadence also stands out to us, evoking a wave of emotions as you hear the realness in each word sung.
When it’s late at night and you need something calm to relax to, this might just be the perfect song for you. Check it out!

Aizayah Hills & BangerOfTheDay - Back Then
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
You may have known him as Devths Kid before, but that was ‘Back Then.’ Now, say hello to the soon-to-be star, Aizayah Hills! Releasing this one alongside BangerOfTheDay, we couldn’t be more excited about it.
This dude just has a certain aura around his voice that draws you in from the moment you hear it. Drawing from a variety of sounds ranging from new-age hip-hop to upbeat, funkadellic rhythm, Hills put his talent out there for everyone to take in.
The best part about this song is how catchy that hook is! We’ve tried and tried, and just can’t seem to get it out of our heads. Hills has a bright future ahead of him, so you may as well get acquainted now!

Dave B & Jay Prince - Lost My Mind
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
To be honest, I just about ‘Lost My Mind’ when I heard that flow Jay Prince came in on at the beginning of this one. And if it wasn’t lost then, it definitely was the second Dave B started rapping. It was scary day to be a beat pocket when these two hit the studio, because they were flowing in and out of it like clockwork.
We love a good structureless, bar-for-bar type track. With just one verse each, Jay Prince and Dave B managed to showcase their clever wordplay, swagger-heavy vocal cadences, and immaculate flows to the max. Whether you’re working out or just cruising with the windows down, this song is the perfect vibe for you. Check it out!

Bravo - Ashes
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
Out of all the songs Bravo has been releasing this year (it’s a lot if you weren’t aware), this one might be our favorite yet. One thing about Bravo’s music that we love is how organic it always feels; it’s never forced. ‘Ashes’ is the perfect example of how naturally that raw talent, lyrical vulnerability, and storytelling comes to him.
The simplistic nature of the piano layered with birds chirping sets a beautiful scene right away. Bravo then comes in over that with a soft melody and self-aware lyrics, perfectly maintaining the bittersweet mood set by the intro.
We think a lot of people will be able to relate to the brutal honesty of this song and realize their own flaws that need work. Major hats off to Bravo for always keeping it real and keeping it groovy.

MEMORIA XI - Happier
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
All we’ll say is this: if you’re feeling down on this gloomy Monday, listen to this new MEMORIA XI and it might just have you feeling a little ‘Happier.’ This dude’s sound is mature beyond its years, and this song is the perfect vibe as summer comes to an end.
A comment on this song on SoundCloud said something along the lines of it being better than The Kid LAROI. We’re not going to make any hot takes here, but if we were going to… we might just have to agree. The flow, lyricism, and cadence in vocals have such a unique charisma, yet maintain a sound that’s ready for the mainstream audience as we speak.
Go turn up the volume on your speakers and give this one a listen if you haven’t yet!

Melvoni - CITY ROLLING (feat. YSN Flow)
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
The bars, melodies, and flow-switches on this new Melvoni track got the whole ‘CITY ROLLING!’ This dude has been on an absolute tear in 2020, and this track with the assist from YSN Flow is sure to keep that momentum going.
The versatility displayed throughout the verses caught our attention right away. Melvoni has never been the type of artist to come in with a same-old-same-old flow, and this one is no exception. The variance between the low-tone verses and the high-octave hook creates a really cool juxtaposition in the vocal composition.
We decided that you aren’t allowed to play this song unless the volume is turned all the way up, so make sure you do that ASAP!

Sista Prod - Eyes Blue Like The Atlantic, Pt. 2 (feat. Powfu, Alec Benjamin, & Rxseboy)
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
Make sure you’re not in the club when you listen to this one… you’ll be crying. ‘Eyes Blue Like The Atlantic, Pt. 2’ is flat out one of the most beautiful songs we’ve heard this year, and Sista Prod got a legendary lineup to be a part of it!
The pitch-up from part one of this song stood out right away. That first drop into Powfu’s verse is smoother than room temperature butter, and it keeps up the rest of the song. Alec Benjamin, one our favorite artists right now, provided the perfect change of pace with his wavey, melodic verse. Everything about this one from the lyrics, to the composition, to the addicting instrumentation makes for a truly mesmerizing sound.
If you’re looking for a song to play at 1am on a Saturday night when you’re lonely at home, or literally any other time, this is the song for you.

Charlie Puth & blackbear - Hard On Yourself
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
Bringing us the most addicting melodies while speaking truths we all need to hear, Charlie Puth and blackbear teamed up for this one, and it’s perfection. Their only question is, ‘why are you so Hard On Yourself?’
The best part about this song is the back-and-forth-style verses these two come in with. Their voices blend together so well that it’s honestly hard to notice they switch at some points. Playing off of each other’s harmonies and flows, Puth and bear sound like they’ve been singing together their whole lives!
This track is fun, energetic, and full of undeniable talent. Go give it a listen if you haven’t yet!

Jutes - Bad Dream
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
Honest question here… can Jutes even make a bad song? From what we’ve heard, we seriously think it’s just not possible. This new one, ‘Bad Dream,’ should tell you everything you need to know about his generational talent and versatility as an artist!
Combining the likes of punk rock, hip-hop, and about 7 other genres into 2 minutes and 25 seconds is no easy feat. However, when done right, it sounds something like this. We still can’t get that hook out of our heads! Another impressive part to us is the unique vocal mixing on the verses and how Jutes layers everything so well with harmonies and ad libs. The hints of distortion and reverb blend to make this a captivating, dance-worthy sound.
Go give this one a listen today and turn it all the way up!

Ollie - seasons (Official Video)
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
‘Seasons’ change, people change, but when it comes to making bangers, Ollie has never changed. This new song and visual is simply… it.
That opening scene with the guitar progression softly playing, looking over a field at sunset is the ultimate vibe-setter. Ollie’s extreme versatility in vocal cadence and flow continues to blow us away every time he drops a new song. This beautiful hook transitioning into the verses sounds like two completely different artists, yet carries such a vulnerable and concise storyline in the lyrics.
Hats off yet again to Ollie for this one. Go give the video a watch if you haven’t!

Alec Wigdahl - Summer Is Over
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
Even though ‘Summer is [almost] over,’ there’s still reason to celebrate as Alec Wigdahl keeps blessing us with these groovy masterpieces!
That lead bass line spiced up with wonderfully organic percussion is enough to have you in love within the first 10 seconds. When Wigdahl then comes in with the vocals, it’s like a smooth, crisp layer splicing through the low and high ends created by the instrumentation. In simpler terms, it sounds damn good to the ear! Not to mention the infectious melodies and beautiful storytelling throughout. This one truly is a perfect end-of-summer bop!

By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
As quarantine progresses, some people fall back into ‘Old Habits,’ while others take advantage and learn a new skill! In Jad Saad’s case, he took to Adobe Premier and created his first ever video! And must we say, the vibes are heavy.
As if this song wasn’t already fun and groovy enough, these visuals add to it immensely. As an audience, seeing Jad Saad having a good time and not taking things too seriously is super cool. It gives you a glance at his personality and brand as an artist! Plus, all of the interesting crops and lyrics on screen definitely feels like this wasn’t his first time making a video.

Anybody else been absolutely loving the new-age punk rock sound that Machine Gun Kelly has recently adopted? This new one, alongside Blackbear, is an amazing blend of rock ‘n roll and modern-day pop.
How can you not play this one at full volume? That hook goes crazy when it everything comes together, especially at the end. We really love Blackbear’s verse, as it adds a nice switch-up in the instrumentation and provides a different perspective on this intriguing storyline. Go rock out to this song if you haven’t yet!

Era - Tell Me (feat. lilspirit)
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
If you were to ‘Tell Me’ that Era and lilspirit collaborated on a track together, I’d only have to assume it’d be one of the smoothest tracks I’ve head this year. In that case, I’d be wrong. I think it is the smoothest track I’ve heard this year.
The fullness of the vocals relaxing over the reverbed, rainy-day chord progression is enough to have you looking for a tissue. On top of that, these lyrics are outstandingly raw and emotional. That last hook when both artists combine melodies is sensational - their voices blend together so well, and as the audience, we were fully captivated.
We’ll be bumping this one for awhile to come. Hats off to Era and lilspirit for supplying the vibes!
Lyrics That Stick:
“Tell me I’m the one
You want only
Tell me I should go
