Ryan Trey - Rollin
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
One of our favorite, most closely-watched artists over the last year, Ryan Trey is at it again with the undeniable hits. This one, ‘Rollin,’ is nothing short of a summer night drive masterpiece.
The mood set by the instrumental meshed with the scene that the hook creates is addictingly good. Ryan Trey has never been one to lack on lyrics and punch lines, and this is no exception. When he said, “just hurt me, that’s fine,” we all felt that.
Songs that seem to transport you into a whole different place or feeling are the usually the best, most well-composed songs, and that’s exactly what this track does. Go vibe out and give it a listen today.
Lyrics That Stick:
“I swear to God
Man I shoulda never let you in that ride
Or better yet slide”
Lil Skele - medicine
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
If you’re feeling down, listening to this song would be the ‘Medicine’ to make you feel better. Lil Skele gives us all something to relate to with this one, which is all you really need sometimes; to know that someone else is going through it with you.
Everything about this song is amazing. The guitar picking, layered vocals, and of course, the lyrics. Lil Skele never falls short when it comes to the pen game, and this song is just another example of that. Make yourself a cup of tea and vibe out to this song tonight!
Lyrics That Stick:
“I still think of every word
You said to me
Tryna ease the memory
By drowning in the nicotine”
GOLDN - 143
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
We’re loving this track like ‘143!’ Everything GOLDN touches just seems to be fire, and this new one is no exception.
GOLDN’s vocal cadence and the way he hits each melody is unlike anything we’ve heard. You can truly feel the words he’s saying. And not to mention the way they sit so clear and smooth over the instrumentation. That hook is so perfectly executed it had us singing along the first time through!
We’re super excited to see what happens with this record and future records from GOLDN. Go give this one a listen if you haven’t yet!
Lyrics That Stick:
“Show me how to heal
Teach me how to hurt
See me at my best
Hold me at my worst”
Alec King - Weekends
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
Anyone need a new jam for the ‘Weekends?’ Alec King has you covered. Actually, he’s got you covered for every day of the week, too, with this new bop.
As one of the more versatile artists out right now, Alec King put his talents on full display for this track. Literally every part of it just hits so right! From his wordplay, to the cadences on the verses, to the dangerously catchy hook, we’re loving this joint. We’re seriously going to be bumping this one for awhile!
Major props to Alec King for blessing us with this one! Go give it a listen if you haven’t, we promise you won’t regret it!
Lyrics That Stick:
“Now it’s subtweets and dive bars
You hanging where the guys are
Hope after they ride you
They give you five stars”
Juice WRLD - Come & Go (With Marshmello)
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
Most artists these days ‘Come & Go,’ but music from Juice WRLD is looking like it’ll be around forever. As hype for his album builds and builds, this new joint with Marshmello is all the more reason to be excited.
After a beautiful, introspective vocal beginning, Marshmello’s talent is put on full display with the guitar lead into the beat drop. Not only is this one dance worthy at the drop, it’s tear-worthy during the verses. Juice WRLD, amidst a lot of his hype, was still an underrated songwriter and lyricist in our opinion. These verses really hit home as he sung about real life stuff.
It’s a bittersweet feeling to be excited for this album, but either way, we know it means Juice WRLD and his legacy will continue to live on!
Lyrics That Stick:
“I don’t wanna ruin this one
This type of love don’t always come and go”
Lavi$h - Fish Fish
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
Lavi$h has always been the king of hooks, but he just took it a step further with this one. Now, he’s got more than just song hooks; he’s got hooks to catch ‘Fish’ with!
The melodies on this one are unmatched. Before we even knew the lyrics we were trying to sing along! Lavi$h just has this certain cadence that’s hard to look away from. Every line, bar, and lyric sounds as smooth as butter.
Everything just blends perfectly on this song. The trumpets, the drums, the vocals, everything! Go vibe out to ‘Fish Fish’ if you haven’t yet.
Lyrics That Stick:
“Nowadays give em middle finger
With a twist twist
Nowadays I control my liquor
Barely sip sip”
Juice WRLD & Halsey - Life’s A Mess
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
Along with the announcement of his posthumous album coming this Friday, Juice WRLD and Halsey teamed up again for this moving, spectacular summer anthem.
We don’t think it’s going to be possible to listen to this new album without tearing up, and ‘Life’s A Mess’ is no exception. Everything about this song is just gorgeous and feels so vulnerable. It’s a good reminder not to take anything for granted and to be thankful for people in your life who love you.
Go tell someone you love them today and listen to this new Juice WRLD while you do it. RIP Juice.
Lyrics That Stick:
“Have you ever fallen
Head over heels for somebody
Had made promises to give you the world, um
I really hope they held you down”
30 - IPAs
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
Imagine yourself hanging with friends, sipping on an ‘IPA,’ bumping that new 30. Now that’s the life. Song qualities not new to this rising star, ‘IPAs’ is filled with immaculate melodies, way-too-clever bars, and classic flows.
On the surface, this song is absolutely beautiful and perfectly composed. But little textures throughout are what makes this one special to us. Everything from the trumpets, to stereo’d dubs and ab libs, to vocal harmonies tucked in the chorus, they all come together so undeniably good. Hats off to 30 yet again for blessing us with this one!
Lyrics That Stick:
“Pass the doobie
I think I’m getting pissed off
And then I pour a glass of rose
Like I’m Rick Ross”
The Image - Believe In Me (Official Video)
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
After just hearing this once, we truly ‘Believe’ that this song and video needs to be seen my millions. The Image just blessed us all with this masterpiece!
A beautiful story of childhood and seeing spectacular things in every day life, this visual highlights a little girl’s daily adventure. Intertwining cartoon graphics with real-life video, everything just… fits. We couldn’t help but smile the whole time! And dance. And sing along. And rewind it about 7 times.
We’re really looking forward to hearing and seeing more from The Image. Go give this video a watch ASAP if you haven’t yet!
Lyrics That Stick:
“It’s true, I’ve tried
To walk on water
Losing faith
In sons and daughters”
GASHI, Pink Sweat$, & Njomza - Upset
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
When you get GASHI, Pink Sweat$, and Njomza teaming up on the same track, it’s pretty hard to be ‘Upset.’ All three of these artists have been absolutely killing it this year, and this track is the perfect boost to continue their momentum.
A song like this is sure to have you dancing uncontrollably all day. Even more crazy, it actually has super poetic, well-written lyrics if you listen intently. Those are usually the best types of songs, when they can make you feel two completely different ways by how much you want to pay attention to what’s being said.
Hats off to all these artists for this one; you’ll definitely want to add this to your summer playlist ASAP!
Lyrics That Stick:
“Fall in love
I know you won’t
Cause you’re addicted to the high
You get from drugs”
Redrow & Josh Lambert - Gelato (prod. HUSH)
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
This one is as smooth as ‘Gelato!’ Redrow and Josh Lambert teaming up on this track made for the ultimate summer vibe that we’re LOVING.
The progression of the guitar chords sit beautifully under the melody of the vocals in that first verse. On that hook then when the drums hit, it makes for a full-on bop! Redrow really killed those with airy harmonies and infectious lyrics. Josh Lambert’s verse came in perfectly as well, offering new perspective on the track. Go give this one a listen if you haven’t yet!
Lyrics That Stick:
“I could think about you
When you gone
So I just hit the blunt
I’m moving on”
PmBata - I Would Never
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
Do you need a song to bump at your Fourth of July celebrations this weekend? Or any weekend after that? Or… any day at all actually? PmBata has got you covered with this new one, called ‘I Would Never.’
It’s always super impressive to see artists who are able to tell stories through the lyrics while maintaining a level of catchiness and ability to sing along to the music. PmBata gives us both with this one. When those trumpets hit at the 30 second mark, an avalanche of melodies and harmonies sweeps you away into a whole different universe. It really is the perfect song for your summer soundtrack!
We’ll definitely have this song on repeat for awhile, and we bet you will too once you hear it!
Lyrics That Stick:
“I remember last winter
At a family dinner
You got hella mad
Said I was flirting with your sister”
Nox Holloway - Separate Ways
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
Coming to the realization that going your ‘Separate Ways’ with somebody is the best decision? Not easy. Having this song to listen to while you go through it? Easier. Nox Holloway gave us all something to sing to, vibe to, and relate to with this one.
It shouldn’t be legal to have this many infectious melodies in one song. From the first verse, to the pre-chorus, to the chorus, to the whistling afterwards, we couldn’t look away for even a second.
Being that this is the only song out from Nox Holloway right now, we’re going to speak on behalf of every music fan out there and say we’re anxiously awaiting more!
Lyrics That Stick:
“Okay don’t say
I didn’t wanna see you
Oh you know I tried”
Tristan Wells & BangerOfTheDay - Remember
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
Just in case you couldn’t ‘Remember,’ Tristan Wells is truly next up. After releasing an abundance of songs already in 2020, he’s showing no sign of slowing down on his newest BangerOfTheDay co-release.
Combining the likes of hard rock with synthetic drums and melodic, hip-hop-influenced flow, Tristen Wells continues to break genre expectations with this one. The vocals and electric guitar ringing on the hook is a giant, stadium-worthy masterpiece. And that guitar solo at the end? Wow. The only rule with this song is that you have to play it LOUD!
We’re excited to keep hearing more from Tristen Wells this year. In the meantime, do yourself a favor and give this one a listen!
Lyrics That Stick:
“Remember
All them nights that I told you
I love you”
RYAN OAKES - SAVE MYSELF (Official Video)
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
After hearing this new track from Ryan Oakes, i had to ‘SAVE MYSELF’ from running it back 12 more times in a row. We wouldn’t expect anything less out of him, but this is, as the kids say, “the one.”
We love the vibe of this video, too. Since the song itself feels like Ryan Oakes letting loose on his feelings and venting, the video matches that same energy. Just him, alone in a room, pouring his heart out into each line. By the end of the video, he’s hella tired and out of breathe from going so hard. It really feels like he left all of his emotions out on the table, which exactly why so many people seem to connect with his music so deeply.
Go give this video an honest watch and pay attention to the things he’s saying! You definitely will not be disappointed.
Lyrics That Stick:
“Screaming out for help
With the whole world watching
It was entertaining
It fueled their gossip”
benny mayne - THE WORST
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
We all have those people in our lives that are just… ‘THE WORST.’ In his new single, benny mayne gives us not only a straight bop, but something to say to those people, as well.
As an artist, benny mayne definitely isn’t new to putting his feelings into words. In fact, he’s one of the best we’ve heard at it currently. ‘THE WORST’ is a beautiful display of this talent, incorporating relatable lyrics that still hold a certain poetic quality to them.
When you listen to this one, we’d advise you to turn the volume all the way up and get ready to dance. Hats off to benny mayne yet again!
Lyrics That Stick:
“Damn, you’re the worst
All that sh*t you said last night
Just know that it hurt”
Dominic Fike - Chicken Tenders (Official Video)
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
It’s safe to say nobody really knew what to expect when we saw Dominic Fike was dropping a song called ‘Chicken Tenders.’ I guess we were wrong for thinking it would be anything less than perfection. Not to mention the visual for it, which is a complete, full-circle vibe.
Dominic Fike transports into a whole different dimension for this video. Funky lights, rooms, and other settings create an intriguing, mesmerizing scene. As he makes his way throughout different places while seeming to be stuck in this disco universe, Fike is simply dancing, singing, and having fun. What’s really cool about the whole video is the fact that it has a one-take feel to it. There are hardly any cuts which goes to show how much work and choreography went into making it.
We’re hoping this is the beginning of a bunch of great new music from Dominic Fike this year! Go sit back and vibe out to this one if you haven’t yet.
Lyrics That Stick:
“And I order chicken fingers
To my room girl
But we got some things
To do first
Chicken tenders in my hotel”
Jutes - When You’re Around (Official Video)
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
Stepping outside the box and creating his own path are two things Jutes is fully used to doing. From the beginning of when we first heard him to now, we’ve seen Jutes adapt and change his sound with what seems like each new release. The crazy part is, each end of his versatility is equally impressive and high quality. That definitely is not the norm!
This new visual for ‘When You’re Around’ is a full on display of Jutes’ talent and songwriting ability. The visual is a slow, progressive zoom-out starting with his face and ending with a full body shot. The shot is so simple, yet so intriguing. It feels like you’re right there in the room with him. The song is so fire, we could sit back and listen to it for days!
Lyrics That Stick:
“Need you
Baby do you need me?
I want love
Like a scene on the TV”
6lack - Float
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
Does gold ‘Float?’ We’re just wondering because that’s what this song is. 6lack blessed us yet it again with this new track, and for the millionth time, got us in our feels.
6lack has never been the type of artist to shy away from vulnerability, and it’s on full display in this one. Talking through personal struggles and pain from his own perspective creates room for listeners to relate and connect with the song on a deeper level. We love seeing bigger artists remain unafraid to share real, raw emotions. Honestly, that’s partly why so many people just can’t get enough of 6lack! Go sit back and reflect while you give this one a listen today!
Lyrics That Stick:
“There’s a big war going on outside
Grab your lover
Time to slide
Say your prayers
Hold em tight”

That summertime guitar riff with Lil Puro’s signature vocal cadence is enough to fall in love with this song right away. Filled with spacey, reverbed harmonics and relatable lyrics, each verse and hook holds onto your attention completely.
We recommend you sit back, relax, maybe grab some tea, and play this song ASAP. Hats off to Lil Puro yet again!
