After almost a decade after the initial release of his breakout mixtape, ‘Detroit’, rap-legend Big Sean has finally blessed us with the sequel. He said recently in an interview that ‘Detroit 1’ felt more like an album than a mixtape, so he wanted to emulate that in this project.

It feels like a culmination of every bar, chorus, melody, and hit single Sean has ever dropped. This project is wonderfully arranged, with twists and turns at evert corner. From cinematic switch-ups like ‘Lucky Me,’ to conscious culture-influencing ballads like ‘Guard Your Heart,’ this album truly has it all. Not to mention all the timeless features, including one from the late Nipsey Hussle!

To say we’re impressed would be an understatement. As an artist who consistently stays true to his roots and puts on for his city, Big Sean deserves all the praise in the world. Go stream ‘Detroit 2’ ASAP!

Favorite Song: Guard Your Heart

Lyrics That Stick:

Conflicted like bein' signed to Ye and managed by Jay

Conflicted like bein' cool with Pusha and Drake (damn)

Conflicted like reppin' a city where I hardly stay (stay)

Or knowin' that you wrong but its too hard to say”
