Captivating, daring, and vibrant are all words that describe the rich sound of new indie-alt duo, The Crowd. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Lenny Kravitz, MGMT, Bob Marley, & Bon Iver, the duo has created a signature sound that is cohesive & polarizing. They are the breath of fresh air the music industry needs. Made up of Caye & Alec Joseph, both artists play to their strengths. They craft a space within their sound that is motivated by good vibes and pure optimism. Now, they debut on our pages with their latest EP “Piece of Mind”.

“Piece of Mind” is the debut EP from The Crowd, and it may be their magnum opus. Across 3 well-crafted tracks, they produce an EP that focuses on freedom, societal division, and the need to find beauty in the Earth we inhabit. The EP is meant to provide social discourse while also reminding the listener to find the good in life. With their harmonious vocals, lush melodies, & exceptional songwriting, the EP connected with me on the first listen.

When it comes to songs, “Road 415” & “The End?” were the most memorable for me personally. I loved the sonic arrangement of the record, and those guitars were captivating enough to keep you hooked on the instrumental alone. Both artists left it all on the table with their exceptional vocal delivery. Overall, this is a must-listen. “The End?” painted the duo in a different life with the introspective nature of the song. The song dives into the division that is in society, and it serves as a record that is about bringing people together. Their optimistic approach towards life is what makes them so special. The make music for the dreamers, lovers, and believers. Listen to their EP below, and you won’t be disappointed.
