Mesmerizing, daring, and captivating are all words that describe emerging artist Stophe Malone. Malone is everything you want in a burgeoning star. He’s raw, and he’s an exceptional vocalist, guitarist, & math professor. With his innate ability to craft records that draw in listeners from different walks of life, his sound can be considered a melting pot of colorful tones and melodies. He’s a musical pioneer and trendsetter breaking genre and social norms in an industry that feels formulaic. Now, he enters our pages with his latest album, “PINK FANTASY: FIRST FLOOR”.

The 10-track album is the first installment of a trilogy series by the rising r&b singer. For me, Malone bears it all on this album while bringing listeners into an innovative soundscape that will make you fall in love with music again. During a time where most artists are playing it safe vocally and sonically, Malone refuses to hold back his creativity. He constantly pushes the boundaries, and that level of authenticity is what separates him from other artists. His exceptional vocal approach meshed with his songwriting prowess make him a force to reckoned with. Over the duration of the album, Malone brings listeners into his world and provides a sonic experience that you won’t want to end. If you could mesh Usher, Miguel, and Ty Dolla $ign together, you would get Stophe Malone.

My favorite songs from the album were “BEEN AROUND THE WORLD (BATW)” & “O.M.G”. “BEEN AROUND THE WORLD (BATW)” is the lead single of the album, and it’s a chef’s kiss. Whatever Malone was doing while making this record may never be replicated. The rising star offers a fresh take to Lisa Stansfield's classic by infusing it with contemporary flair and heartfelt adulations. This is a “headie” record that can’t be skipped. “O.M.G” is a straight party jam that was made for the summer. The record is carried by bouncy drums, warm melodies, and woozy synths. For me, this record made me a huge fan of Malone. It showed his versatility, and his ability to make hits that have that West Coast feel. Overall, this is one of the best projects of the year and there are no skips. With that being said, stream the album below and vibe out!
