Roisto Shines On His Latest EP, “Do Me Right”

Hailing from the beautiful country of Finland, multi-talented DJ, producer, and mixer, Roisto, kicks the summer off with his captivating 2-track EP “Do Me Right”. For those who are new to his exceptional soundscape, Roisto has probably worked with or inspired your favorite artist. His journey started in 2014 with his debut release “Apart In Love”, and he has since worked with the likes of Simon Ray & PowerDress. In addition, he’s even put out engaging remixes like “Vice ft. Jon Bellion - Obsession (Roisto Remix)” & "SHY Feat. Brayton Bowman (Roisto Remix)”. Overall, he has been one of the most electrifying DJs as of recent. Now, he debuts on our pages with his latest EP “Do Me Right” that was released by Finnish indie label Youth Culture.
The EP is laced with groovy sonics and a vibe that is perfect for this time of year. On the title track, ‘Do Me Right’ Roisto dives straight into a disco-laced housey vibe with swinging rhythms, beefed-up bass, funky synth leads, nostalgic samples and catchy vocal runs from start to finish. Musical Melody’ brings another delightfully indulgent dose of groove-focused flavors from the outset, building around carefree beats, looping melodies, hearty bass notes, subtle string injections, quirky FX, playful fills and an abundance of climactic crescendos to carve out the second of two largely enslaving records.
Roisto has continued to get better and better sonically and song arrangement wise. He has immense talent, and he further proves that he is ready to be a household name. With his ever-growing monthly mixtape/radio show “Loose Tapes” and tours in Finland, the UK, France and Poland adding steam to Roisto’s exponential rise in acclaim, he now steadies himself for several pivotal releases in 2023, including two EPs on Youth Control and a single collab with Ridney on Armada.
