Porsh Bet$ shines in his new EP release 'Things in the way’

Don’t let anything get in your way, because Porsh Bet$ released the last three singles to finish off his EP ‘Things In The Way.’ ‘Neiman Marcus, (Hollywood)’ the first single on the EP brought this intense and very invigorating energy we felt on a whole new level. Bet$ brought this old-school 90’s pop/rap sound that boomed through the speakers. It has you wanting to pack your bags before that summer heat picks up and start your new journey in ‘Hollywood.’ ‘2 The Weekend,’ had a completely different aura than ‘Neiman Marcus’ in a positive aspect. We felt this song hit more of that modern day take off sound. Bet$ really brought his A game as well as an alternative element to this song as well. There’s more of a chill, laid-back ambiance, not to mention the captivating beat behind the single. This EP is bringing the heat and really gets us pumped for the summer season, giving off that carefree and let loose summer mentality.

Each song throughout the ‘Things In The Way’ EP really show cases Bet$ range as far as a musician and how he’s able to gather an abundance of different styles and mesh them all so well. ‘Things In The Way,’ had a very euphoric element to it, the vocals were a little muffled adding to the aura and the plethora of tones within the song were so captivating. You feel like you’re on a trip while listening to the song, in complete contentment. Porsh single ‘Here’ is for the listeners who enjoyed ‘2 The Weekend.’ There’s that same Dominic Fike, skater-like component that we are ‘Here’ for without a doubt! If we had to guess it’d be those two singles on the EP that will have the most streams. The unique quality of the beat plus the throwback feel of the 90’s is so polarizing right now. If there’s one thing we have to say about Porsh, it’s that his music is everything listeners right now want to hear. He does such a great job of meshing classic tones with modern sound in a way that works flawlessly. ‘Passenger,’ the last song on the EP meets all expectations we had after listening to the first four songs as well. Porsh killed each and every song throughout this EP and brought this new, iconic name for himself at BOTD by releasing ‘Things In The Way.’
