Unless you live under a rock, then you probably already know the greatness of rising singer-songwriter MistrCarter. He is one of the most polarizing artists out right now, and his versatility allows him to shine above all of his counterparts. Some will say he was born with this talent, but he has continued to refine his skills since getting in this industry. He’s not signed, and he has continued to captivate audiences and listeners as an independent act. After initially catching my attention with his album “MC + MistrCarter”, I knew that he had what it took to be a household name. After releasing that, he returned with his album “MC2” which was an exceptional follow-up. Now, the emerging artist delivers his best project to date called “Zensuality”. “Zensuality” is his third album, and it takes you on a journey of manifesting love, lust, and your inner desires. It is a cohesive project that shows the versatility & growth of MistrCarter. He can’t be stopped.

For me, “Zensuality” is MistrCarter’s magnum opus. It’s his victory lap after all the years of grinding and perfecting his sound. The 12-track album is him showing that he’s ready to take the next big step in his career, and I can truthfully say that it is in my top 5 of 2023. My favorite songs were “InFlux”, “Romance”, & “Dream About MC”. “InFlux” is a smooth record laced with lush melodies, an ear-worm hook, and the production was truly nostalgic. This is a song that was made for the summer, and it was a perfect intro for the album. “Romance” was another highlight on the album. The record was carried by innovative production with electronic elements. MistrCarter’s lyrics were sensual and provided a relatable element that really allowed the lyrics to shine. “Dream About MC” was one of my favorite vocal performance. His cadences were just in the pocket and he was sharp from start to finish. I loved the song arrangement & overall feel of this record. Overall, this is a must-hear album so stream it below!
