Like everything in life, music continues to evolve. This is something that has been going on since music became a thing. Over my life, I have seen multiple era. I got to experience the hip-hop & grunge-rock of the 90s. I got to soak up the sun with the pop & contemporary hits of the 2000s. The 2010s brought the allure and the hype of hip-hop. Now, the industry is saturated to the point where I just want an artist I can connect with. With thousands of songs released daily, it becomes harder & harder to find artists/collectives that truly stand out. Nowadays, it feels as if the industry values trends and virality over music. Although this might be true, there are still artists that are pushing their sound forward to captivate listeners as we head into this new landscape. One artist I know is bringing heat is emerging artist Bookie.

Bookie. is a rising singer-rapper that has created success over the last few years. After being kicked out of his house, the rising artist found himself in the same rooms with the biggest artists as he chased his dreams. Now, he enters our pages with his debut EP “ENDLESS”. With a runtime of 13-minutes, the 6-track EP might be one of the best projects I have heard all year. To me, this EP sounds like the future. If Gunna & Young Thug had spawned a new artist that is a mixture of their best qualities, they would get Bookie.’s new project.

“ENDLESS” opens with the ethereal track “Nowhere,” a mesmerizing blend of lush synthscapes and hypnotic beats. Bookie.’s masterful production skills create an immersive sonic experience that feels like a dream you never want to end.

My personal favorites from the project were “Aired Out” & “Make It Happen”. I loved the progressive production elements on “Aired Out”. Bookie.’s flows were prolific, and the record features his best cadences and vocal delivery. In addition, the production will make you want speed down the interstate with the top down. I can definitely see this record in any high-speed movie. “Make It Happen” showcases Bookie.’s knack for crafting emotive electronic music. The melodic hooks are irresistibly catchy, and the beat is relentlessly groovy.

Overall, Bookie. has gotten my attention, and I believe he will be a household name within the next year. His music is innovative and captivating. With that being said, stream his new EP below.
