Hailing from Muskoka, Canada, emerging producer/mixer, District Lost has taken the music industry by storm. Specializing in chill tracks, futuristic sounds, and beats, the vibe curator has continued to engage listeners with a sound that push sonic boundaries. He’s raw, daring, and his sound translates to all. Now, he enters our pages with his latest album, “Compressed Space Waves”.

“Compressed Space Waves” is an experimental album that provides a refreshing take on hop-hop instrumentals. District Lost creates a sonic experience where he takes listeners through 12 exceptional tracks that give the feeling of being in space. Entering the album, listeners are treated to a bouncy single called “Wandering”. “Wandering” is laced with warm percussion, engaging synths, and the beat changes are otherworldly. This was the perfect start to the album. If you have ever dabbled with hallucinogens, “Floating” is a beat that will make you reflect on those past trips. It’s catchy, and I loved the beat structure. “Super Nova” has to be my favorite off the album. Although the song is short in duration, everything about it is captivating. I loved the strings, sonics, and the lush melodies are intoxicating. Sone other honorable mentions would be “Taking Flight” & “An Epic Trip”.

Overall, this was one of the most transformative albums I have heard this year. It was captivating, daring, and I loved District Lost’s ability to reflect so much emotion within his beats. With that being said, stream this album below and vibe out!
