Bandeauxx. Releases His Highly Anticipated Album “Coastal Plus”

When it comes to music, we are always looking for new pioneers that push our tastes and music habits forward. Like anything else, there needs to be evolution. However, when it comes ot the music industry at the moment, everyone is playing it safe. No one wants to take risks. However, I recently came across an artist looking to create his own sound. He is looking to bridge the gap between multiple genres into one vibrant sound. That artist goes by the name Bandeauxx.

Hailing from Miami, Florida, Bandeauxx. Is an emerging artist that coins himself for making “rap from the future”. That level of confidence and bravado make him so polarizing. He is him. I say that because he doesn’t just draw influence from one genre. There are elements of Drake, A$AP Rocky, Flume, Baauer, and Mike Dean within his sound. For me, I can’t really explain what genre to put him in. Some will say it is electronic music with hip-hop and dancehall undertones. However, some of his music can be coined as 808 punk music. Overall, he is one of the most exceptional artists out. Now, he debuts on our pages with his latest album “Coastal Plus”.

“Coastal Plus” is a continuation of his “Coastal” EP that was released in 2021. In better terms, the 12-song album is a refined deluxe version of his earlier EP. It features re-worked and re-edited songs as well as an album's worth of unreleased/unvaulted cuts. In my opinion, if you had a DJ set, you could play this album through with no complaints. There are so many good vibes on this, and this album is perfect for the Summer. The EP starts with the high-energy anthem, “Waste No Time,” which sets the tone for the rest of the tracks. Bandeauxx. has a great ear for production, and that is evident when you start an album off with a song as strong as this one.

Other songs that stood out were “Playing Favorites”, "Fashion Statement", "Twenty", & “Pop It”. “Playing Favorites” features some of the best delivery on the album. This record showcases his ability to create catchy hooks and exceptional melodies. I loved the production arrangement on this one as well. Additionally, tracks like “twenty” demonstrate his expertise in producing music that makes people groove. “Twenty” has that late 2000’s early 2010’s feel. Bandeauxx. shines with his witty lyricism, and he just doesn’t miss at all on this record. Lastly, records like “Fashion Statement” & “Pop It” shouldn’t be overlooked. They are not filler records and shine on their own. Overall, this may be one of the most cohesive projects I have heard all year.

This is a testament to all new artists. If you can create your own sound, people will want to listen to you. That’s one reason why I love this project. There is nothing being released that sounds like it. Bandeauxx. is clinical on this album and you can tell he has put tireless hours in to make sure that this album sounds the way it does. He invites fans and music enthusiasts to join him on this exhilarating musical journey and experience the magic of his incredible music. With that being said, stream the album below and follow him on his socials!
