Clover County Has Us In Awe With Her Latest EP, “Porch Lights”

If you’re looking for your new favorite artist, look no further. Clover County is what you have been missing. Coming from humble beginnings in Central Florida, the burgeoning singer has captivated her listeners by putting her heart & soul into every song. With influences coming from the likes of Stevie Nicks, Carole King, Taylor Swift, & Dolly Parton, Clover County finds a way to shine with her unique sound that is sprinkled with southern elements. Her music makes you feel like you are home. Now, she enters our pages with her debut EP, “Porch Lights”.
“Porch Lights” is a 6-track project that shows the versatility and vocal range of one of the music industry’s next big stars. I hate coining an artist a future star, but I think this EP will at least have people talking. From the vocals to the sonics, the EP was exceptional. Her songwriting was heartfelt and honest which allowed it to evoke raw emotions out of me. When discussing newer artists, many are not able to craft a cohesive body of work whether it’s an EP or LP. On her debut, Clover County struck gold. I loved the rich and dynamic sounds of each record, and the production allowed her vocals to shine.
Clover County worked on the project with a talented group that included Ian Fitchuk, Konrad Snyder, Nick Lobel, Cameron Neal, & Cece Coakley. As far as my favorite song, I have to go with the focus track “Under These Conditions”. “Under These Conditions” is emotional song carried by warm sonics and authentic lyrics. This is what she had to say about the song:
“‘Under These Conditions’ was the ‘kick-in-the-ass-come-to-Jesus’ talk I needed to have with myself, a reminder not to sacrifice the life I wanted while people pleasing the generational expectations placed on me by the town I was living in, the church I grew up in, or the people I was raised by.”
Overall, this is a must-listen EP, and it proves that Clover County has a bright future ahead. With that being said, stream the EP below!
