A new artist out of California, August Shore, just put out his first EP - Seasons - and boy does it show potential. Even with an incredibly strong first impression in the West-African infused vibes on “Shore Show,” August maintains momentum and quality throughout this project.

From slick flows to meaty bass hits and steel melodies, August Shore is sounding a lot more professional than he has any right to. “Black and Blue” is another standout. Closer to a traditional trap vibe, this track melds genres to produce a satisfying blend of rap and R&B. August Shore’s overall delivery in ‘Lemonade,’ resembled SAINt JHN impeccably and is catchy throughout.

I’ll let you explore the rest of the tape for yourselves, but not before I warn you about the absolutely heater in store for you on “So What.” Be careful with this one, headphones strongly recommended.

Lyrics That Stick:

“Say she’ll never fall in love again

Heart broken, she think I’m trolling

Couldn’t even hurt you if i wanted to

Going back and forth my mans was

saying that she’d rather be friends”
