Tristan Wells has been on quite the roll in 2020. With an unrelenting stream of singles, hundreds of thousands of streams under his belt, a growing following, and a focus on putting quality content out with his music, the self-produced emo rapper is here to stun us with a new gem. Released on October 15th, “MAD” is a beautifully grungy blend of 90s rock and 2020 rap, and it was followed a week later by a music video, filmed and edited by @DIRECTORCHECH. The washed out video fits this song perfectly, clearly their continued collaboration has led to Tristan and Chech getting better and better at working together.
From the catchy rock hook to the engaging visual direction, even noted Tristan Wells hater Lil Planet made an appearance in the video, a nod to the ability “MAD” has to bridge divides with its sonic clarity. Tristan Wells is doing his very best on each release, making everything on his own and sharpening his skills all the while.
