When it comes to unique emerging artists at the moment, Montreal-born singer/songwriter, Soran, is at the top of our lists. After initially catching our attention with his single “Julia”, we have kept a close eye on his journey. Now, he is back with his long awaited single “Space Boy”, and it’s arguably his best single to date. Although he teased us on socials for a month, I can say that the wait was definitely worth it.

“Space Boy” is a futuristic sounding song that marks the new chapter for Soran. In addition, it is one of the first songs where he felt fully in control production-wise and he took liberty to experiment in every direction he could. Along with the sense of artistic freedom that creating the track brought to Soran, it also gave him the opportunity to honor his late mother and his roots by having his name written in Japanese on the single artwork.

Overall, the single is a hit in our minds, and the visual that accompanies the record is just as good. The visual is laced with excellent color grading and the scenic shots are so captivating to the eye. In addition, the shot that shows Soran with his head out of the window is iconic. In my opinion, the visual perfectly fits with the single and only enhances his feelings and lyrics. With that being said, check the song out above and vibe out!
