Roderick Porter Can’t Miss With His Latest Offering “gone in the wind”

When it comes to music discovery, there is no better feeling than finding an artist that gets you hooked on the first listen. This week I was blessed to come across an emerging singer that has true “star power” and his name is Roderick Porter. Roderick Porter is a Canadian-born artist, producer, and multi-hyphenated creative from Moncton, New Brunswick. Porter was born with the urge to escape the small-town energy of his hometown by utilizing his creative gifts and accomplished the latter by sharing the sadness and negative experiences of life in his music. Although I’m new to his sound, he debuts on our pages with his latest single “gone in the wind”.
The single focuses on the introspective misery that accompanies the end of a relationship. With it’s melancholic sound and nostalgic feel, the record will pull at your heartstrings from start to finish. For me, this record stands out due to his cadence choices, exceptional vocals, and his use of space within the production. Porter allows the song to breathe and that enhances the meaning behind each lyric. With that being said, stream the visual above and vibe out!
