SonReal Releases His Cinematic Visual For “right before my eyes”

With his upcoming EP “i can’t make this up” on the way, SonReal decided to bless us with the visual for his single “right before my eyes”. The single follows previous records “bananas” and “bank on me”, but this one may be my favorite! The track explores the nuances of working hard for something but realizing that we will never truly be happy.

In the Sterling Larose-directed visual, the video captures the journey of man who is unwillingly being recorded for the world to see. The narrative has a deeper meaning hidden within the imagery and concepts that come about on the screen when old SonReal music videos show up. Overall, the video does a great job of allowing fans and even SonReal himself to see how far he is come. Although he is pursuing more, it’s okay to be happy about what he has already accomplished. In addition, having his daughter in the video was a great addition, because I feel that is one of the main reasons he has become more appreciative of everything so I’m super excited for the EP on the way!

Lyrics That Stick:

“Funny how life can trick ya

I always had what I was trying to find”
