You can say what you want about Tik-Tok, but the budding app has birthed the careers of many current stars. One star that has seen major success from the app is Addison Rae. Love her or hate her, you can’t deny the rising star’s ability to captivate people all over the world. Although she has dabbled with dancing, modelling, and acting, the young sensation is now giving music a go. With her new single ‘Obsessed’, Rae unleashes her inner “Selena” for a bright and fun record. To accompany the bubbling song, she also blessed fans with an enticing video that you don’t want to miss.
The Diane Martel-directed visuals are colorful and it displays Rae changing into extravagant outfits as she discusses the hardship of being a global star. In addition, the choreography is out of this world. It reminds me of pop music videos from the early 2000s where we saw performative videos from artists such as Britney Spears, Beyonce, and J-Lo. Although this is her debut single, Addison is continuing the strong argument that Tik-Tok stars can make great musical artists. With that being said, take a minute and watch the video above!
