After taking a year hiatus, TDE-hitmaker, Isaiah Rashad, is back with his new single ‘Lay Wit Ya’. The release follows last year’s single ‘Why Worry’, and the Chattanooga-born and LA-based artist recruits Memphis rapper Duke Deuce to feature on the new record. ‘Lay Wit Ya’ is the first release off of his upcoming project The House Is Burning which is set to release in June. In addition to the single, Rashad also delivered a video to accompany the buzzing record.
In the Omar Jones-directed visual, we get a full-on party vibe from Rashad. This is different due to the fact that a majority of his music and videos are very introspective and emotional. To be fair, after all that he’s been through over the past few years, it’s great seeing him have a good time. The visual is packed with cinematic elements of Rashad riding in a top-off jeep with beautiful women, crazy parties, and an appearance from Duke Deuce that you won’t want to miss. Overall, this is an eye-catching return for him, and I can’t wait to see what’s in store with his next project.
