Born and raised in Japan, artist Ollie Joseph has been crafting his unique flow and style since 2016. With a style similar to lyricist Joyner Lucas, his short punchy bars all merge into a pattern, creating his versatile flow. This week, he’s back again with a vibey single and a video produced by UNRTHDX for “Moon & Back.” The creative decision aligns almost perfectly with the single itself. The simplicity of the video highlights the energy Ollie Joseph brings on the track. Staying in one location, the music video is unlike a traditional rap video. Instead, the creative team does a great job of translating the theme of the song into the video. Using this one scene the entire video to show a ‘boomerang’ effect of Ollie Joseph leaving his car and coming back was one clever move.
It’s a no-brainer, Ollie Joseph’s rise to stardom is quickly approaching, it’s just a matter of time before his music gets into the hands of the right people. Either way, he has continued to prove himself as an artist who belongs in this industry!
