During my teenage years, there was a beauty in opening up my computer and scanning music blogs for the newest underground artists. I would spend hours searching, listening, and eventually syncing the sound of tomorrow into my iPod. Some of the artists I was glad to have found during that time had to be Dylan Owen, Kinetics, and One Love. They had tapped into a market that was very special, and they eventually became the soundtrack of the suburbs. Their sounds were innovative, and their songwriting was always relatable. Now, 10 years later, I am happy to have stumbled on a new release from them titled “Hurt Enough”.

The single is full of vulnerable lyrics, strong delivery, and a hook that will have you captivated on the first listen. In addition to the single, they also released a scenic visual to accompany the record.

In the video, we see the artists as they rap and post up in the Hollywood Hills. Although the visual is simple, it compliments the song well, and the scenic shots will have you wanting to take a trip to The City of Angels. With that being said, take a minute and stream the video above.

Lyrics That Stick:

“A little too perfect

You weren’t hurt enough for me”
