When it comes to young love, '“the chase" always seems to be the factor that brings two people together. There is just something about having to go after someone and taking a chance on the unknown that makes it fun. However, in certain circumstances, the chase is not worth it when the person you know you like is moving away. In his new single ‘Hate The Chase’, Josh Lambert gives us a confessional song on this very situation. With the help of Redrow, the artists craft a personable and relatable song that will have you belting from start to finish. To accompany the buzzing song, they also take us to a local bar for a video that perfectly visualizes these raw emotions.
In the video, we see Josh sing to a significant other at a bar as he discusses the fact that he hates the chase because the right people won’t run away. The video is bright, and Josh’s facial expressions help express the lyrics within the song. We see Josh as a hopeless romantic that is just done having to put more work in than others when it comes to a relationship. The video then transitions to Josh on a date with this mystery girl, and it ultimately shows Redrow pouring drinks at the bar as he sings his heartfelt lyrics. Overall, the video is a perfect depiction of the song, and I just can’t stop watching.
