HAIM goes into the depths of “Relationships” in their latest single

HAIM knew what they were doing in the making of their music video for their current single, “Relationships.” The music video stars, none other than Drew Starkey, who was the cherry on top to add to the appeal. We all know the ladies are obsessed with this A-list heartthrob, and HAIM killed it with the video.

HAIM’s lead Danielle is shown to be in a “Relationship” with Starkey, which we assume is short-term given the lyrics. The storyline seems to go from present to past in a rewind structure. You see the actors moving backwards throughout the video, traveling through time.

The beginning of the music video shows Starkey moving out of their shared home with moving boxes. As the storyline progresses, you see the pure heat and chemistry their “Relationship” started with, which paired well within the structure of the song.

We noticed an eighties vibe in the music world currently, this song being one of the main examples. The retro, throwback sound this song encompasses is refreshing. While reminding us of the past, HAIM did an outstanding job of keeping this song modern, too. The ad-libs HAIM added to the song, also brought this catchy element to the hook. The single itself shocks you with how original it is. HAIM incorporated a little bit of everything and made a gem of a bop!
