With a sound that has captured the hearts and eyes of many, 23-year-old singer-songwriter, Gabi Sklar, is one of my favorite breakout stars of 2023. With only a handful of singles released so far, the New York-based singer-songwriter already has a committed fanbase. She’s a star at the core, and her ceiling is so high. I have yet to find an emerging artist with her maturity and singing ability. Now, she enters our pages with her latest single “Thank God”.
On “Thank God”, Gabi’s angelic vocals shine to the fullest. The warmth from the acoustics and her vocal tone provide so much depth to the song sonically. In addition, her songwriting is otherworldly. The single is a cathartic release of emotion packaged into a stunning pop ballad.
